First off thanks to Slim for filling in for me, very much appreciated. Also hats off to the Plainwell EMS, Borgess Pipp and Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo. Great crews there of doctors and nurses – and of course the Water Street Coffee Shoppe in the atrium for their strong brews to keep me going.
My wife fractured three ribs Tuesday morning, as some of you may know this is a very painful thing to go through. A sad circumstance of getting older our bodies can’t take a beating like they used to. She is at home now and resting, which she will need a lot of over the next couple weeks.

Weather wise the heat and humidity will be on the rise through next week with perhaps record highs through most of the state due to a tropical airmass moving into place. Our normal highs are around 70°. Not much rain is in the forecast over the next two weeks with the exception of a few pop up storms from instability – consider yourself lucky if you get one.
